ATOMIC MODEL LINKS FOR INSTRUCTION
special thanks to B. Lotze of California for this
contribution
Please note that the Thinkquest sites have been down throughout February 2003.

Click on an element and view the either absorption or emission spectra

Thinkquest site on atomic spectra that has some good animations of how
electrons get energy

Electron
Configuration Animation Online
Posted on the ChemEd-L by Doris R. Kimbrough of the University of Colorado at
Denver - An Electron Configuration animation from the Okalahoma State
University. When you click on the screen, electron arrows are added to the
energy level orbital diagram, the element's identification changes and the
visual obeys Hund's Rule.
Emission
and Absorption Spectra of Elements 1-99
Online java applet that provides the emission and absorption spectra of elements
1-99.
Atomic
Emission
Move electrons to different energy levels and observe absorption and emission of
photons.
Atomic Emission
Applet for Java Plugin (required for operation)
